Captain Louie Jr. is in full swing at CCC! Our campers are so excited to be the first CCC cast to bring Captain Louie to the stage, and with their energy today we already know this show is going to be great!
It’s the first day of camp at #SummerbytheCCC24 and we love seeing so many familiar faces shining again on stage. Even better is all of the new members of the CCC family joining us for the first time this summer. With classes full of dancing, singing, and fun all day long, it’s safe to say that the campers missed summer by the CCC as much as we did!
We started our day in prayer and then introduced our staff to the campers. After a nice talk with the entire camp about camp safety and day to day routines, we made it to break and got along with our day.
CCC is BACK!
From that point on camp was BACK! A few of our groups spent the morning in auditions with the production team. We’ll have the cast list ready to go tomorrow, but it’s going to be difficult to sort through all the talent here at CCC! We can’t say enough how impressed and proud we are of every camper that auditioned today!
After auditions we shifted to our normal routine with dance class and music class. We started strong with the vocals and choreography to “New Kid in the Neighborhood”, a song that is sure to be camp favorite.
At art class we drew, colored, and painted city lines and sky scrapers. Our dedicated classroom for arts and crafts is fitted with all the supplies needed for our campers to practice their creativity. We also have all new games equipment that Mr. Babcock made use of today at games class. We played soccer with a special twist on a singing relay race. It was lots of fun!
Faith and Fun at the Center
And of course we made sure our campers got their daily dose of faith formation in with Mr. Elijah in the chapel. Today we went over basic chapel rules and etiquette, as well as some simple prayers our campers might hear throughout the day. We’ve only just begun our camp long conversation in faith formation class, and we can’t wait to share the Gospel with our campers each and everyday as we place faith and fun at the center of all we do.
