Today at CCC was a day of sunshine, smiles, new songs, and new friends! Yesterday, we started off the summer strong, but today our campers blew us away on and off the stage. We can already see plenty of new friendships forming, and our campers are working so well together with every song and dance.
During stage time this morning, we reviewed the vocals and choreography for “New Kid in the Neighborhood.” It was so great to see their progress after only one day of practicing. As we moved from stage time to our normal class routine, you could hear campers singing the song “Big Red Plane” up and down the halls. Mr. Jacob and Ms. Keira were hard at work teaching this song to the campers today. Ms. Molly also worked with the campers on the dance for “Big Red Plane,” and it’s clear that our littlest friends are having the most fun with it.

In Faith formation, Mr. Elijah taught a lesson about God the Father. Tomorrow will be a lesson on God the Son, and the next day on God the Holy Spirit. They also continued to learn about prayer. We introduced prayerful meditation with music, as well as prayer intentions and prayers to the saints. One saint that came up today was St. John Neumann, due to the 1st class relic from him that lives in our chapel. Check out a picture of that for yourself on our Instagram story.
Games and art were a blast, as usual. Today, we split into two teams and played cops and robbers outside in the big field. No matter how hot it gets, the summer sun never seems to beat the summer fun when we’re outside playing games with Mr. Babcock! Luckily, art class with Ms. Ellis gave us the opportunity to cool down and craft our very own planes just like Captain Louie’s. Our younger friends used paper, but our older friends built them using popsicle sticks and glue. We love how they turned out!

We’re glad to have had such a great second day. As our campers continue to make friends and get in the swing of things, it’ll only get better here at #SummerbytheCCC24!

Congratulations to our Campers of the Day! These campers were awarded for being an example to others, being a team player and for shining both on and off the stage! Congrats to Emma, Jackson, Matthew, Maria, Sophia, & Lucas! #CCCshines
