It was a hot day at #SummerbytheCCC24, but that didn’t stop us from having a blast under the summer sun! With only a week to go until Captain Louie Jr. takes the stage, our campers are more energetic than ever, making the most of every moment. Be sure to check out how week one has been on our Instagram!
Nice Moves!
We kicked off our day with an enthusiastic rehearsal of “Shadows” all together at stage time. Miss Molly continued to build on her dance lesson from yesterday and even has a routine to get the audience involved! Besides “Shadows,” Miss Molly was busy with our older friends learning the dance to “Trick or Treat.” We think you’ll be very impressed with the moves they have in store!
We continued our lessons on “Trick or Treat” in music class as well. The campers are mastering the melody and rhythm, and their confidence is growing with each rehearsal. Mr. Will worked with our leads to refine their solos, and it’s amazing to see their progress. These young performers are really stepping up and shining in their roles.
Kiss Bags in Art!
In art class today our campers made their very own Kiss Bags to be used during the shows on Thursday and Friday of next week. Kiss Bags are a CCC tradition where each campers decorate their own bag to be filled with candy come show time. It’s always a delight to see our campers’ creativity shine through their Kiss Bags!
“In the Summertime…”
“…when the weather is high, you can stretch right up and touch the sky!” That’s how it feels at least when we’re outside with Mr. Babcock for games! Today we played two games called “Pressure” and “Heads or Tails” and the campers loved them! Afterwards we cooled off in the chapel with Mr. Elijah while finishing our final lesson on the Trinity with a special focus on the Holy Spirit.
CCC at the Phillies!
Catholic Community Choir has the incredible opportunity to sing the National Anthem at Citizens Bank Park for the Philadelphia, Phillies game this Saturday at 4:00! We couldn’t be more excited and we hope to see you there! You won’t want to miss it!
