It’s the second day of session two and we’re having a blast. The campers are loving Descendants (and so are we)! Now that our cast list is out, we can dive into these musical numbers. After reviewing “Break This Down” during stage time, we moved on to a song that is already a smash hit here at camp: “Rotten to the Core“.
We moved dance class to a nice cool air conditioned room. Since there are smaller groups this session we are able to have every single class in the air conditioning! Miss Molly and Miss Marykate continued to make progress on the choreography to “Rotten to the Core” with the campers. We think you’re gonna like this one come show time! Once Miss Keira perfects the vocals in music class today, we’ll be able to get together at stage time and see how it looks as a cast!

Summer Fun! ☀️
Today was a hot one, but with several water stations and AC in every classroom, we were sure to let loose outside and have some fun at games! We played Hunger Games dodgeball again and some of us just hung out in the shade. In art class we cooled off and continued our octopus arts and crafts project. They’re looking good! Come show time we’ll have loads of the campers’ art on display so you can see all their hard work!

Blessings All Around✨
Speaking of hard work, our campers put their faith into action through service today by making sunflower seed butter and jelly sandwiches! We’re teaming up with Blessing Bags for Children, a group of dedicated members of our community that provides meals for children for weekends. These meals cover the days most school food programs cannot (like Saturday and Sunday). Blessing Bags for Children will be using our sandwiches in their Blessing Bags and it warms our hearts to see our campers embracing service to the community
During faith formation Mr. Elijah read from the Book of Psalms. More specifically we prayed and discussed Psalm 25. We also continued our introductory discussion on the Holy Trinity in addition to diving deep into the “Eucharistic Revival” happening all over the world! Faith and fun center stage has been a long-time core principle at CCC, so we are glad to be one of the many groups of young people participating in this Revival!

Campers of the Day 😊
Congratulations to our Campers of the Day! These campers were awarded for being an example to others, being a team player and for shining both on and off the stage! Congrats to Josephine, Beatrice, Matthew, Johnny, Colin, Ian, Olivia, Summer Rosie, Makayla, Giuliana, and Frannie! #CCCShines
