“It’s Possible” at CCC!

We had a great day today, starting with stage time where we reviewed the vocals and choreography we learned yesterday. Mr. Jacob also introduced us to a new song called “The Prince Is Giving a Ball.”

In music, Miss Keira taught our campers the vocals for “It’s Possible.” She specifically worked with some of our younger campers, and everyone left full of energy! They brought that energy to the stage with Miss Marykate for a huge dance class.

Ready to Shine!✨

Now that our cast list is out, Mr. Will met with all of our lead roles. They began blocking, and the scenes are looking good. We’ve got a lot of talent on stage for this show, and you won’t want to miss it. Pictured below are only a few of our leads. Take a look at the full cast list for yourself here and check out this Instagram post.

A Culture of Service 😊

Our younger campers gathered in the auditorium to work on a service project we’re doing this week where we each write a letter to the elderly. We also continued our work decorating and building breakfast bags with Mrs. Crowley. It was lots of fun and we’ll be dropping them off at St. Kevin’s to make sure that Caring for Friends gets them! Establishing a culture of service at a young age is so important, and we’re happy to be fostering that here at CCC.

In art, we continued working on our own carousels, inspired by Cinderella’s, thanks to Mrs. Ellis and our creative campers. Outside, we played a few games, and the camp favorite seemed to be a new game called “Steal the Bacon.” It was pretty intense, so we made sure to take water breaks and sit under some shade as needed.

Finally at Faith Formation we discussed chapel etiquette, the Eucharist, and the Mass. Our hope is that our campers leave with a general awareness of the Catholic faith and all its aspects. We have several activities and projects coming up to accomplish just that, so stay tuned!
