We have officially finished our first week of camp! To celebrate the end of our first week of camp, our campers participated in a beloved summer camp tradition here at CCC Shines: Water Day!
Campers arrived today armed with towels and their favorite bathing suits. Before we could start the Water Day fun, everyone was brought onstage to practice every musical number learned throughout the week. Our campers showed our production staff that they know their stuff, so they earned a nice snack break before moving on to our Water Day activities!
Closing Out Classes
In art class, we are creating the world of Frog and Toad by painting leaves to bring to the stage.
Many of our older friends spent the day with Ms. Ruth in acting class as we block all of the major scenes in the show!
Dance class trained our campers to be true performers, practicing singing while dancing.
Our campers busted out their acting skills in Faith Formation, performing short plays about Jesus’s miracles.
Music classes are coming together to learn “The Letter #2” with Mr. Will.
No games today, but everyone is having fun at Water Day with Mr. Babcock!
Cooling Off With Water Day 💦
What is CCC Shines summer camp without Water Day! Throughout the day, campers had the opportunity to ride four different water slides. They also participated in other activities, like the water balloon toss, dodgeball, or just enjoying the sunshine. Talk about a great way to cool off from the summer heat.
Campers of the Day 🏆
Congratulations to our campers of the day! These campers were recognized for being leaders in their group, setting an example for others on what it means to shine on and off the stage. Good job Joseph, Jack, Mackenna, Mackenna, Timmy, Brooke, Liberty, Elizabeth, Maria, and Kendall.
