Welcome campers to our new Musical Theater Intensive camp! We are so excited to see you all this week as we come together to build up our skills from singing to dancing and everything in between.
Gosh, We Hope We Get It!
We started the week at our Musical Theater Intensive by learning more about the audition process. Participating in a mock audition for Honk the Musical, campers learned an audition song and dance combination. After lunch, Ms. Ruth assigned sides for campers to read for our callback portion.
Our production team then assembled a cast list, and we spent our afternoon discussing tips and tricks for nailing an audition!
Spending Time With Special Guest: Debbie Cotterall
Returning for our second day of camp, everyone spent some time with special guest speaker Debbie Cotterall. Mrs.Cotterall is a board-certified music therapist and vocal teacher who will be helping our students with their music throughout the week. During her time onstage, Mrs. Cotterall talked about her career as an opera singer, music therapist, and vocal teacher. Thank you for spending time with us this week, Mrs. Cotterall!
Setting Up Our Showcase
On day 2, campers are beginning to learn their materials for Friday’s showcase. Campers head to music with Ms. Keira, dance with Ms. Tess, acting with Ms. Ruth, and even games with Mr. Babcock!
