CCC Shines Jr. Show

CCC Shines is excited to introduce a special 4-week Micro on stage Production of Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS for students in 2nd-6th Grade.

Designed for students who are eager for a quick, high-energy performance experience, this condensed rehearsal process allows young performers to strengthen their acting skills, build stage confidence, and collaborate in a joyful, focused environment before summer begins.

Led by our dynamic Assistant Director, Miss Emma, students will:

  • Develop character choices and stage presence
  • Strengthen vocal expression and projection
  • Learn foundational choreography and storytelling techniques
  • Work in small groups to build ensemble confidence

Rehearsals will run:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:45-6:30 beginning 4/14 at CCC Shines
  • One longer rehearsal on Tuesday, 5/5 from 4:45-7:30pm).

Audition Information:

  • Auditions will take place at the first rehearsal on Thursday, April 14th. More info will be send to enrolled families.
  • Audition Song: Students should be familiar with “Bare Necessities”. It will be reviewed but those interested in a lead or supporting role should prepare in advance.
  • Students are encouraged to audition but do not have to. They can simple attend to watch the process.

This program is ideal for:

  • Students wanting a shorter commitment before summer camp
  • Performers building confidence and stage experience
  • Students looking to grow in acting specifically
  • New families wanting to “try” CCC Shines

The cost of this program is $200.

A culminating performance will take place the evening of May 7th for family and friends.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are excited to expand leadership pathways within this micro session. Interested students in grades 6th – 9th may sign up to be a part of the volunteer team. Students will be offered opportunities to support the production in a variety of ways including:

  • Dance Captain (supporting choreography review)
  • Assistant Stage Manager
  • Set Support
  • Props Captain
  • Costume Support
  • Marketing & Program Book Assistant
  • & More

Leadership students will:

  • Attend rehearsals as assigned
  • Support younger cast members
  • Learn production vocabulary and backstage protocol
  • Build resume experience in theater arts

This is a wonderful opportunity for students building toward our summer and school-year leadership tracks. Students interested in this track should sign up on CampSite. There is no fee for volunteer students.
