Senior Shine

As many of you know, we celebrate our CCC Seniors (our 8th and 9th graders) during an annual Senior Shine Event. Our event is usually held mid April. Before the celebration, we invite our CCC Shines Members to join us to sing for 5:30 pm Mass.

Our Main Stage Program extends from Kindergarten to 9th grade – so this celebration marks a milestone in CCC Shines. We recognize that with High School schedules, some 8th graders, while welcomed back, may not be able to continue at the same level of involvement in their 9th grade years. So it was important for us to recognize both 8th and 9th graders – understanding that everyone’s journey looks different. We also know this isn’t goodbye – although our Main Stage Program ends at 9th grade, we continue to look for opportunities to include and involve our main stage alumnae in other programs such as volunteers at summer camp and Senior Show participants.

CCC Shines is about more than just performing on the stage. It is very much about building lasting friendships, uplifting one another and being strong members of our community. We are thrilled to be able to have such a remarkable group of students participating and are grateful for all of the continued support we receive. We hope that you are able to join us – as this night isn’t about the stage, it’s about the cast members who have dedicated so much of their lives to CCC as they begin to embark on new journeys.

  • What is Senior Shine?  Senior Shine is CCC’s version of a “sports banquet”. This is a chance for us to honor those 8th and 9th graders who shine both on and off stage.
  • Why do I sign up in February for an April event?  The 8th and 9th graders will be receiving special gifts that night and we need to get them ordered early. Plus our awesome committee wants to make this a special night for everyone so the earlier we know how many seniors will be honored, the better the night will be!
  • I don’t know yet if I can be there but I want my child recognized. What should I do? Sign up! Please know this isn’t a commitment to being at the event – this is the opt in for your child to be recognized. Event tickets will go on sale in late March. Any child who opts in for recognition will receive the gifts and acknowledgement the night of whether or not they attend. If you do not opt in, your child will not receive the gift or be recognized the night of Senior Shine.
  • Do the kids perform?  This has been a big question from the kids! No, they will not be required to perform – this night is truly for them to enjoy.  **However, if anyone would like to perform, either planned or impromptu, we are never sad to hear these kids sing!**
  • Will my friends be there? YES! We’ve had great turnout so far and want to make sure no one misses out.
  • When is the event? To be announced!
