Today was Disney Day at camp! Our campers had a blast dressing up as all of their favorite characters from classic movies like Lilo and Stitch, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, and so many more. We love seeing so much enthusiasm on our theme days and today our campers went all out! Check out their awesome outfits below and be sure to catch a of our highlights on our Instagram!

Shining On Stage ✨
We had plenty of time today on stage together where we covered “So Many Ways to Be Wicked.” Words cannot express how amazing it is to see so many talented young performers shining so brightly. The excitement from stage time carried over to music and dance class where our staff continued to teach “So Many Ways to Be Wicked.” After much practice, Miss Molly and Miss Marykate led their group of campers in a minute of silence. As a time-honored tradition at CCC, a minute of silence is exactly what we needed to cool down and regroup before we moved to our next class!

“Better Together” 🎶
Over at art Mrs. Ellis led the kids in an arts and crafts project using tinfoil and plates. By the end of class each camper had their very own Magic Mirror just like Evie’s from Descendants! We then brought our creative juices with us to our next class with Mrs. Crowley where each camper had the chance to create their own “Kindness Card” for a staff member of their choosing as thank you for all of his or her hard work!

Faith formation gave us the opportunity to dive into the basics of our faith like prayer and the cross. Without Christ’s sacrifice, the cross would be meaningless, so during our discussion we emphasized exactly that. We also learned common prayers that you’ll often hear at camp like the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be.
Outside at games we played Capture the Flag. Easily the most beloved and intense game, Capture the Flag gives every camper a chance to have fun. Some were on offense, others on defense, some were “jail-breakers”, and others were flag runners. There’s never too much fun when your outside at games with Mr. Babs! We also continued to brainstorm and practice our acts for the talent show. Each camper joined a group of other campers and all throughout the week they will be shining on stage and showing off their unique talents!

Supporting Our Community 😊
All throughout camp and on our Instagram you will see us with a bag of our favorite chips, Cheese Ravioli and Marinara! Talluto’s is a long-time friend of CCC and has some of the most authentic Italian food in the community. Now that they have been named finalists in the Herr’s Flavored by Philly contest, we hope to see them bring home a win! We’ve all voted and we’d like for you to as well! Simply text “RAVIOLI” to 80160 or click this link to vote.

Thanks to all of our campers who participate in today’s theme day and to everyone performing at the talent show tomorrow, break a leg!
