All day long our stage has been shining brighter (and cooler!) than ever. We’re so proud of all of our young and talented campers that performed during our talent show today! We had campers perform classic childhood songs, sing our favorite Disney tunes, and even our staff joined in on the fun!
In other exciting news today, Blessing Bags for Children in Norwood, PA came to pick up all the blessing bags that we made. Thanks to our dedicated and hard-working campers under Mrs. Crowley’s leadership, we were able to provide hundreds of blessing bags full with food to local families in need.
Faith and Fun Center Stage
We also made fantastic progress today on all of our songs and dances. So far we’ve covered “Better Together,” “Ways to Be Wicked,” “Rotten to the Core,” and much more. Stay tuned tomorrow for a video on our Instagram and Facebook showcasing all of their amazing musical numbers!
Over at art, we continued our work on Evie’s magic mirror. Our older friends had a blast and went wild with the glitter! In our special class, we started a new service project. Each camper created a thank you card for a veteran. It’s so great to see the campers supporting our troops!
We started a new #SummerByTheCCC24 tradition today in Faith formation with Mr. Elijah. Mr. Elijah and Father Tag (O’Hara’s campus minister) gave the campers the opportunity to attend Eucharistic Adoration. We were sure to explain the significance of the intimate and devotional encounter with God present in this sacrament. We will do this once more during this camp and again in session 3. Our hope is to make adoration an opportunity for campers that provides them with a new way to connect with their faith!
