It was a rainy Friday today at #SummerbytheCCC24, but not to worry! We make our own sunshine! We started our morning with stage time where we performed all of the musical numbers we’ve learned so far. The show is looking great and we can’t wait for you to see these amazing campers. Over at music we did a full vocal run of our show. Then at dance we reviewed all of our group numbers! With everything done, we’ve begun to add our leads to their larger dance numbers. Now all that’s left is blocking out the rest of our scenes with Mr. Will!
A Very Special Visit!🌟
We had a special visit today from the amazing Miss Emma! Miss Emma is beloved a member of the CCC family and took time out of her busy schedule to lead the kids in a musical theater and acting class. Miss Emma shared some of her experiences, gave us great tips, and gave amazing advice to our campers that they will be able to use on stage in the future! She also led them in an activity that trains the campers acting and improv abilities! The kids loved Miss Emma and we were so happy to have her at camp!
Never a Dull Moment!🤩
We started a new arts and crafts project at Art today with Mrs. Ellis! Each camper made their own water-color castle. Some were unique and others looked just like the Disney castles we know and love. We also finished our thank you card service project for the troops in our special class with Mrs. Crowley.
Try as it might, the rain did not put a damper on Mr. Babcock’s games class! We went inside and played a game called “Hot Seat”, a guessing game quite like the popular Headbandz board game. Over at Faith formation we finished our discussion on the Holy Trinity and the Holy Spirit. Today we also had the opportunity to discuss the Blessed Mother, the Rosary, and Spiritual Warfare with our older friends. Next week we’ll be having “Mary day” where we’ll be praying the rosary and telling stories of Marian apparitions. If your child has their own rosary, then feel free to pack it!

It’s been an all around excellent week. We can’t wait for our show next Thursday, July 18th at 7pm and Friday, July 19th at 2pm at Cardinal O’Hara High School. It’s in the air conditioning this year! Be sure to purchase your tickets online or at the door. See you there!
