Session 3 of #SummerbytheCCC24 has begun! Over the next two weeks we will be putting together a show that CCC has never done before: Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella The Musical!
We started our day by introducing our staff to the campers and by situating ourselves into groups. Mr. Brac and Mrs. Mooney went through all of our camp routines, rules, safety guidelines, and more. What followed was the best first day ever!
All day long our production team held auditions for our older friends. We’re so proud of each and every one of our talented performers! We’ll be releasing our cast list tomorrow so stay tuned.
Back in Action🤩
We also had all the CCC excitement you can expect from camp. Outside at games we played a classic game of “Red Light, Green Light.” It was hot, so we were sure to encourage lots of hydration. Over at our special class we began a new service project. This week we’ll be decorating “Love Bags” and then filling them with all sorts of goodies. These will be sent to a local nursing home and we couldn’t be happier to help!
At art we were really getting in the spirit of Cinderella with our very own Cinderella Carriages! The energy stayed high in music with Mr. Michael too. There we started learning “It’s Possible.” Finally at Faith Formation we began our discussion about the Holy Trinity. We had lots of engaged campers today and they were very curious to learn all about our chapel!
