Welcome back campers to our next session of #SummerbytheCCC25: James and the Giant Peach JR.! We are so excited to see all of your friendly faces, whether they are brand new or returning from Session 1.
To begin the day, everyone made their way to the stage for the first time as we went over camp procedures, staff introductions, and even listened to some of our full cast numbers. With the long day ahead of us, it was only fitting that we took a nice, long snack break after stage time!
Buckle Up, We’re Off To Class 🐞
Art class saw a special guest today, with Ms. Abby helping our campers create paper ladybugs.
Mr. Babcock introduced everyone to a new game: Doctor Capture the Flag!
Ms. Mary Kate kicked off dance class by teaching our opening number, “Right Before Your Eyes.”
Faith Formation took on a new form this session, playing basketball to learn the Hail Mary prayer.
With a show as mystical as this one, our actors and actresses were taught “What makes theatre magical?” in acting class.
Starting strong, campers began tackling our opening number in music class.
We’re Gonna Whip That Cast List Up 🪄
With the first day of camp comes auditions! Many of our older campers spent the day auditioning for the myriad of roles found in James and the Giant Peach Jr., putting their best foot forward for our production team. Auditioning is no easy feat, so thank you to all of our campers who rose to the challenge today.

Campers of the Day 🏆
Congratulations to our campers of the day! These campers were recognized for being leaders in their group, setting an example for others on what it means to shine on and off the stage. Good job Rosie, Ella, Charlotte, Alice, Emerson, Sienna, Nolan, Emma, Carolyn, and Mollie.
