Today marked the start of something special as we officially kicked off our 16th season of summer camps! We were so excited to welcome campers back for another summer filled with faith, friendship, creativity, and lots of singing and dancing. The energy was high from the moment campers arrived, and it didn’t take long for everyone to jump right into the excitement of camp.
A Day Full of New Adventures!
Our campers spent the day getting to know one another and exploring all the exciting activities camp has to offer. “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here” and “NYC.” were heard through the halls and theater as auditions and music class got underway. Campers enjoyed our dance classes with Miss Phoebe as we began learning choreography for our performances next week!
Campers got creative in art class by making friendship bracelets. With colorful beads and plenty of imagination, campers created special bracelets while forming new friendships along the way.
One of the biggest events of the day was auditions! Campers bravely stepped up to showcase their talents and gave their best performances. We are so proud of everyone who participated and showed courage by sharing their gifts with others.
Shining God’s Light
In Faith Formation, campers spent time reflecting on God’s creation and learning how we can see His love and creativity all around us. Through discussion and activities, campers explored the beauty of the world God has made and how we are called to be good stewards of His creation.
Games Galore!
Of course, no first day of camp would be complete without plenty of fun and games! Campers stayed active and built teamwork skills through exciting rounds of Duck Duck Goose, Capture the Flag, and Freeze Tag. Whether they were running, laughing, or cheering on friends, everyone had a blast making memories together.
