Camp was filled with excitement, creativity, and learning as our campers continued to dive into all the wonderful activities that make summer at CCC Shines so special. From singing and dancing to faith formation and games, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

Creative Camp Fun!

In Art Class, campers used colorful tissue paper to create beautiful apple crafts inspired by our Annie Jr. theme. The room was filled with creativity as campers carefully designed their apples and added their own special touches.

In Dance Class, campers continued preparing for their performances by learning choreography to “NYC” and “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here.” In Music Class, campers worked on the lyrics for both songs, building confidence as they sang and prepared for future performances.

Shining God’s Light

Faith Formation took place outdoors today as Mrs. Crowley brought her classes into the courtyard to continue learning about God’s Creation. Campers explored Days 2 and 3 of the Creation story through discussion, an interactive book activity, and a fun game of Four Corners.

Building Acting Skills

In Acting Class, campers learned about tactics and how actors use them to achieve their character’s objective. Through games and practice, campers began exploring what their character wants in a scene.

Games and Staff Challenge

Campers stayed active and had a blast during Games as they played exciting rounds of Man Hunt and Sharks and Minnows. Laughter and teamwork were everywhere as campers ran, strategized, and cheered each other on.

The fun wasn’t just for campers! Our staff members participated in their first staff challenge of the summer, where they competed in an intense game of musical chairs.

Let’s Hear from Our Campers

Hear at CCC Shines we love to hear what the campers favorite part of the day was and hear is what our campers had to say:

Caroline Ferry: “Games with Mr. Babcock!”

Bridget McLaughlin: “Character work in Acting Class.”

Skylar Presser: “Making apples in Art Class.”

Counselor Corner

Our counselors are a big part of what makes CCC Shines such a special place! We asked two of our counselors why they love being part of camp and what they enjoy most about their campers. Their answers remind us just how meaningful the camp experience can be for both campers and staff.

Dean: “I love being a camp counselor because I love to give back the same experience I received as a camper. I love how energetic they are and excited to be here.”

Helana: “I remember the camp counselors when I was a camper and how they made every day so special, so I want to be that person for somebody else.”

We are so grateful for counselors like Dean and Helana who bring enthusiasm, kindness, and positive energy to camp each day.
