It’s Friday! We have officially wrapped up our first week of camp and celebrated our very first Water Day of #SummerbytheCCC26! Campers came ready for a day full of fun, sunshine, and plenty of splashes as we closed out an amazing week together.

Show Prep!

Before heading outside, campers spent time on stage continuing to put our show together. With opening night getting closer, everyone worked hard learning choreography, practicing scenes, and bringing the story to life. Our orphans especially shined as they rehearsed one of the most exciting numbers in the show, “Hard Knock Life!” The energy and enthusiasm on stage were incredible to watch.

Making a Splash on Water Day

After a productive morning, it was time for one of our favorite camp traditions—Water Day! Campers spent the day enjoying four giant water slides packed with fun, laughter, and excitement. Whether they were racing down the slides, cooling off with friends, or cheering each other on, everyone had an unforgettable time.

Let’s Hear From our Campers

New day and a new question for our campers. In honor of water day we asked our camper “Do you like the beach or the pool more?”

  • Elle P. — Pool

Counselor Corner

Why do you love being a camp counselor for CCC, and what is something you love that your campers do?

Mr. Babcock:
“I work with older kids all year long, so it’s nice to work with younger kids in the summer. The campers will sometimes like a new game, and that makes me happy because I never know what their reaction will be.”

Sarah:
“I love being a camp counselor because I always have so much fun working with the kids. I love when they all make friends with each other.”

Campers of the Day

Congratulations to these campers for shining brightly on and off the stage!

Congratulations to: Sophia Welsh, Leighton DiGiovanni, Jack Murray, Taylor Golato, Mary Jane Asher, Charlotte McCarrick, Benjamin Purpura, Jane Werner, Andrew Brady, Claire Baker, Annabel Thompson, Grace Sobotka, and Timothy Peek

What an incredible way to finish our first week of camp! We can’t wait to continue building our show, making memories, and having even more fun next week. Be sure to check back for more camp updates as we continue our #SummerbytheCCC26 adventure!
