Another exciting day at CCC Shines brought us one step closer to our Moana performances! Campers continued learning new skills, growing in their faith, and preparing for the big show. Everywhere you looked, there was teamwork, creativity, and plenty of smiles as campers and staff worked together to make this production the best it can be.
Preparing for the Stage
Our campers continued making great progress in both Music and Dance as they practiced “Shiny” and “We Know the Way.” With each rehearsal, campers are becoming more confident in their singing, dancing, and stage presence.
Our lead actors and named roles also spent dedicated time working with Ms. Emma to rehearse their scenes and continue developing their characters. Their hard work and commitment are helping the story of Moana come to life!
Growing in Faith
In Faith Formation, campers created meaningful handprint prayers. Each finger represented a different prayer intention, giving campers a simple and creative way to remember who they can talk to God about and pray for each day. It was a beautiful reminder that God is always listening to our prayers.
Creative Camp Fun
In Art Class, campers decorated their Kiss Bags, a special CCC Shines tradition. These bags will be filled with encouraging notes and kind messages from fellow campers and staff throughout show week. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate one another and spread kindness before the performances.
Games and Friendship
Campers enjoyed a fun afternoon playing Four Corners and Silent Ball. These classic camp games gave everyone the chance to laugh, build friendships, and enjoy some friendly competition.
Behind the Scenes
While campers were busy rehearsing, our amazing Set Team continued putting in the hard work to make our stage look incredible for next week’s performances. From painting scenery to preparing props, their creativity and dedication are helping transform the stage into the world of Moana.

“Why do you love being a camp counselor for CCC Shines, and what is something your campers do that you love?
Ms. Grace: “I like working at CCC because it gives me so many opportunities to do what I love and share it with these kids that I love. I can’t wait to share all of their hard work with everyone.”
Ms. Tori: “I like being a counselor because I enjoy getting to know all of the campers and helping them have a great summer here at CCC. Something I enjoy doing with the campers is playing games because it’s fun to hang out with them.”
