Oh, the Places We’ll Go!

There was plenty of whimsy, laughter, and imagination at CCC Shines as we celebrated Seuss Theme Day! From colorful costumes to creative activities, campers and staff embraced the playful spirit of Dr. Seuss while continuing to grow as performers, artists, and compassionate young people. A huge thank you to our incredible staff for fully participating in today’s theme by wearing fun costumes and making the day even more magical for our students. Your enthusiasm is what helps create unforgettable camp memories!

Whirling into Creativity

Campers brought a little color and movement to the day by creating their very own pinwheels. Each unique design showcased their creativity while adding a bright, cheerful touch inspired by the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss.

Anything is Possible

Our cast continued rehearsing “It’s Possible” and “Egg, Nest, and Tree,” building confidence as they learned choreography and explored storytelling through movement. Every dance class is helping our performers grow stronger while having a blast together under the leadership of our talented group of choreographers!

Green Eggs and Ham

Music classes focused on rehearsing “Green Eggs and Ham,” bringing this classic Seuss story to life through song. Campers worked on their vocals, expression, and performance skills while having fun with one of the show’s most recognizable numbers.

Living the Works of Mercy

Today’s faith lesson combined movement, teamwork, and learning. Campers played the “Stop the Bus” game, where they were challenged to think of faith-filled words for different categories based on a randomly selected letter. They also completed activity sheets focused on the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy, reminding us that kindness, compassion, and service are at the heart of everything we do at CCC Shines.

May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor!

The gym was full of excitement during Hunger Games Dodgeball! Campers enjoyed friendly competition while practicing teamwork, sportsmanship, and encouraging one another throughout the game.

Character Improv Challenge

Our actors stretched their imaginations through a lively improv game where they transformed into characters from their favorite movies and television shows. The activity encouraged quick thinking, creativity, and confidence while giving everyone plenty of laughs.
