Camp today was filled with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of fun! Campers continued building their skills in music, dance, and acting while enjoying games, creating Dr. Seuss-inspired artwork, and taking time to show appreciation for the wonderful staff who make CCC Shines so special.
Bringing Seussical to Life
In Music Class, campers continued working on “Solla Sollew.” With every rehearsal, our campers are becoming more confident and learning how to work together as an ensemble.
In Dance Class, campers practiced choreography for “Solla Sollew” and “The People Versus Horton.” They brought plenty of energy to the room as they continued learning the movements and preparing for the show.
During Acting Class, campers played “What Character Am I?” This fun acting game encouraged campers to think creatively, use their imaginations, and explore different characters while practicing their performance skills.

Creative Camp Fun
In Art Class, campers created their own Paper Plate Lorax projects! With their bright orange artwork and creative designs, campers had a great time bringing one of Dr. Seuss’s most beloved characters to life.

Growing in Gratitude
In Faith Formation, campers took some time to create thank-you cards for the staff. This special activity gave campers an opportunity to reflect on the people who help make their camp experience so meaningful and share a little kindness and gratitude with them.

Games Galore!
Campers stayed active with a variety of games, including soccer, Cops and Robbers, and kickball. Whether they were running around the field, working together as a team, or cheering on their friends, everyone had a great time!

Counselor Corner
We asked our counselors:
“Why do you love being a camp counselor for CCC Shines, and what is something you love about your campers?”
Ms. Makayla: “I love being a camp counselor because I love having the opportunity to give back to the students the same fun memories that I made when I was in their shoes. One of the things I love that the campers do is tell me about the fun things they’ve done over the weekend or the night before.”
Ms. Haley: “I love being a camp counselor because I like getting to give back to the campers the same attention that I got when I was a camper. Something my campers do that I love is when they get so excited to see me every day.”

Let’s Hear From Our Campers!
Today we asked our campers:
“What Dr. Seuss book would you want to be stuck in?”
Here are some of their answers:
- Ella K.: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
- Zach G.: The Cat in the Hat
- Juliette C.: Green Eggs and Ham
